Taking over the family shoe business created in 1870 by their great-grandparents Guy and Yvon RAUTUREAU founded the RAUTUREAU APPLE SHOES company in 1970.  In 1973, they launched POM D`API, a very creative selection of children’s shoes.

The brand won immediate professional acclaim and sales took off, both in France and elsewhere.
The first franchise opened in Paris in the early 1980s, followed a year later by the first branch.
