As early as 1987, the company was able to find innovative suppliers who were prepared to implement ecologically friendly principles in the production process. Now they are supported by a growing network of raw-material suppliers and manufacturers committed to this aim. The entire production is based on clear objectives, which are stated e.g. in the objectives-requirement profile ("Zielanforderungsprofil" ZAP) of the bioRe-Label with which they are affiliated.

Cotton, for example, is from controlled organic production and obtained from countries such as Tanzania and Turkey. LANA hereby can support local production initiatives and fair-pay prices.
The yarn and material are dyed using eco-friendly processes with heavy-metal free dye; finishing treatment is carried out solely by mechanical means. Only those specially selected and qualified enterprises sew for them who appreciate natural fibres and delight in fashion.

The processes involved in garment merchandising, manufacture, fabric production and raw materials can be traced all the way to their origin, manifesting ecological standards. This monitoring is augmented under the auspices of the bioRe Label with its control regulations (KORE) and certification system.
