ALONDRA INFANTIL began its career in 1985 in Pedreguer (Alicante – Spain) with the manufacture of children’s clothes for sale within the country and in particular for export to Saudi Arabia.
The company, which is located in one of the most go-ahead business areas in the Region of Valencia, originated with a long-term aim that has been achieved over the years: becoming one of the leading companies for children’s furniture and layette – textiles for children – on the Spanish market.
In 1999, after years of expansion of the brand in various countries such as France, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, and in the Persian Gulf, the company started to develop a very ambitious project. Alondra Infantil expanded its professional team and began to design and manufacture furniture for children. The Valencia Paediatrics Fair in January 2000 was the beginning of the long and arduous development of the brand, which won us our current position as one of the top companies in Spain. As a result of the success obtained in the aforementioned Fair, the company became more prominent on the national market.
The furniture for children and the textile products designed and manufactured by Alondra represent concepts as important as Research, Innovation, Design, Progress, Quality, and especially ensuring children’s safety. It can be affirmed without hesitation that Alondra Infantil is the leading company in furniture for children and that it establishes trends year after year on the Spanish market.
Alondra has three work centres in Spain, plus one in Asia that was set up in 2004 to ensure production for the over 1,500 clients that it has in Spain.
In September 2008 and after being currently the second Spanish company, Alondra inaugurated its new installations in Beniarbeig (Alicante) and the management of the company took on new challenges by creating the Export Department.
Our current approach to the European Market is that of creating a business strategy that will in time mean that the brand is as well known and as popular in Europe as it is in Spain.
For the moment Portugal, France, Italy, Finland, and Russia are the countries to which exports are sent; we intend to conquer the whole European market within two or three years.
In late 2008 a company was created with its headquarters in Milan, together with 6 Spanish companies from the paediatrics sector. The raison-d’être for the creation of this company is to put the 7 brands on the Italian market. The companies making up Piccolo Pianeta Spagna include different products which the paediatrics market demands.
