The passion for embroidery, crochet, and hand craftsmanship that was handed down by grandmothers and then by her mother was transformed from a hobby to a business 1986 when Angela Maffei owner and designer of the company made a small collection of handmade clothes and accessories for her newborn baby daughter, Regina.
The approval aroused by these small artifacts lead the way to their commercialization and at the end of her studies at the “Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna” and after specializing in Fashion and Design, she started creating a collection of hats, caps, scarves and handbags. For this reason Regina, in 1990 began attracting the attention of the finest boutiques in Italy and the World as a direct consequence of the individuality of its garments.
Caps are embroidered and crocheted by hand and each garment is a small, unique masterpiece. The chosen materials are natural wools like merinos, angora, cashmere in warm and charming colour palettes.



The baby line is soft and romantic and the embroidery and colours are delicate. Whilst the children’s line has quirkier and distinctive caps made of natural and lively coloured wool. Handmade flowers, teddies and pompons are the main characteristics of the Regina garments which are loved by mothers and children alike for their charm.
