WOLA Knitting Factory was established in 1945. At the beginning production was concentrated on gloves and thick parts of clothing. The breakthrough had place in 1951, when the factory had changed the company’s offer and commenced stocking’s production, which lasts with success until now.
At the beginning of the nineties, fast market development and consumer requirements induced our company to broaden the assortment of new products: socks and widened tights assortment. At the same time the company decided to introduce modern technology, computers entered the company. Thanks to the new possibilities, that new machines gave us, we’ve begun the production of cotton tights with convexed design, for the production of which we’ve been awarded with a gold medal at the «Bialexpo ’97» fairs in Białystok and «Jesień ‘97» fairs in Poznań. Our company have been awarded many times at consumer and textile contests.
Our offer was completed 2001, when we’ve started production of new terry socks and tights for children. We continue the sales of our products abroad. At present export constitutes 20% of our annual production. Our products are sold mainly in Russia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Great Britain, USA, Germany, Austria, Scandinavian countries and Eastern Europe. Our factory employs 700 people. That is why we are a significant element of Zduńska Wola’s local society.
In 2005 or company celebratet 60 óåars anniversary, that was for us an important year. New development chances were opened. The company was privatized and transformed into Limited Liability Company, and Ferax capital group became the new owner of the company. At present we belong to the Capital group, which contains of three factories: Gatta, Zenit and Wola.
