Travalle Oy is a Finnish family business in Tampere, Finland that has been manufacturing outdoor clothing for children for more than 30 years. The products are planned with the harsh Nordic weather in mind. Children playing outdoors need clothing that is comfortable, safe and easy to wash, and this is what the product development aims to design.

Travalle manufactures overalls, jackets and trousers for ages between 0 – 12.

For almost 20 years Travalle has concentrated specifically on developing water-repellent Remu® -outdoor clothing.
The corner stones of planning are product testing and – more importantly – continually being in touch with consumers and retailers.

Remu© is outdoor clothing with a moisture barrier for all kinds of weather. Remu© protects from outside moisture and wind, but still breathes letting the vapour from the inside out. The inside of the Remu© –fabric is laminated with a polyurethane film and the surface has a finish that is water and dirt repellent. Both the inside and the outside seams of the trousers of the Remu© -products are taped.

When it comes to children’s outdoor clothing, we aim to optimise the qualities with both the users and the parent’s interests at heart. A good overall is soft and light; it is easy for the child to wear and move in.
The fact that the fabric is water and dirt repellent keeps the child dry and gives less laundry for the mother, and also adds to the product’s length of life.
